Tabletop Refinishing
Dining tables, kitchen tables, coffee tables, desks, and bar tops take a lot of daily wear. Over time, finishes can become scratched, cloudy, faded, stained, or worn through.
Depending on the condition of the piece, we can remove the existing finish, sand the surface, complete minor repairs, restore or change the colour, and apply a new protective finish.
Preparation matters. Once the old finish comes away, the grain and movement of the wood often start showing again. That is usually when the piece begins to feel alive.
Epoxy Flood Coats
An epoxy flood coat can add clarity, depth, and protection to a suitable tabletop. It can work well on certain dining tables, bar tops, desks, and live-edge surfaces where a smooth, glass-like finish suits the design.
Not every piece needs epoxy. We assess the material, condition, and intended use before recommending it. In some cases, a hardwax oil or polyurethane finish will better suit the wood and the way the furniture is used.
Cracks, Splits, and Surface Damage
Wood naturally moves as humidity changes and furniture ages. That movement can lead to cracks, splits, loose joints, dents, and weakened areas.
Many of these issues can be repaired or stabilized before they become worse. We can assess surface cracks, damaged edges, failing finishes, water damage, small voids, loose joints, and previous repairs.
Not every mark needs to disappear. Some dents and worn areas belong to the story of the piece. We work with the client to decide what should be repaired and what is worth preserving.
Live-Edge Furniture Restoration
Live-edge furniture needs a careful approach because the natural shape of the slab is often its most important feature.
We clean, stabilize, sand, repair, and refinish live edges while preserving their natural movement. That may include removing loose bark, filling small voids, repairing epoxy sections, stabilizing cracks, or refreshing the finish without making the piece look overly manufactured.

Many older furniture pieces were built from solid hardwood that is difficult and expensive to replace today. Under an old stain, worn surface, or dated finish, there may be beautiful walnut, maple, oak, ash, cherry, or another quality wood waiting to come through again.
